DVD Authoring
DVD authoring options keep changing. We are doing our best to stay extremely competitive with all formats and pricing.
We're very excited to be helping many of our long-time CD clients enter into DVD production without great expense. As always, give us a call and speak to us about DVD possibilities. We're doing lots of "bonus" DVD's that labels are including with their standard CD releases to help maintain an edge. These "bonus" discs can be very affordable to author. Also, Remember there is audio on a DVD! I'm sorry to say that most video facilities or video editors are "clueless" on what good DVD audio is or how to get it (not to mention how to author/compress for surround sound).

Budgets for Full DVD authoring are very hard to "average" since there are way too many options to be talked about. However, let's just mention that we've authored replicated discs for as little as several hundred dollars, to 4-plus hour "full-featured" major releases. Call us, and I'll bet you'll have a hard time finding a better product for a lower price... That's what we do!
DVD Pricing Guide (to give you an idea of what it could cost, but please call us for an estimate):
One-off Transfers (from VHS, DV, Hi8, or BETA) $75/hr. + $9 disc. Average time to author 60 minutes to DVD is 4 hours (This is about $5.00 per minute. Well below the industry standard price!).
Copies:15 min. or less $16/disc
16 – 30 min. $19/disc
31 – 60 min. $24/disc
61 – 90 min. $28/disc
Over 90 mins. $32/disc
Video Editing/Sweetening $90/hr.
Audio Sweetening $90/hr.
Back-ups: 4 Days $20 - FireWire Drive - $20 + drive price
DLT Master (with DVD proof) - $280.00
DVD-R Masters (verified) - $65.00
