Grammy award-winning mastering engineer Alan Douches has been working as a professional audio engineer for 25+ years. He has mastered over 16,000 albums with artists in practically every genre of music. 

He began as an assistant to Producer Jack Douglas and many others at New Jersey’s Grand Slam Studio. It was here that he learned the audio trade on a classic Neve 8038 board and eventually became Partner and Senior Staff Engineer. 

Some of Alan’s most notable credits include: Sufjan Stevens, The Promise Ring, Animal Collective, Converge, Brand New, Dillenger Escape Plan, Chelsea Wolfe, Zeal & Ardor, Anais Mitchell, Frightened Rabbit, Grand Master Flash, Saves the Day, Mastodon, Fatboy Slim, The Chemical Brothers, Jets To Brazil, Damon and Naomi, Olivia Tremor Control, Yes, Train, Ben Folds Five, Burning Airlines, Hole, Oneida, Dismemberment Plan, Run DMC, Fleetwood Mac, The Slackers. 

Alan has been hired to speak at various colleges like William Patterson and Johns Hopkins University and has sat on many professional panels at music festivals. Alan has a passion for making audio sound its very best, be it contemporary music, audio for film, or anything audio for that matter! This passion is at the very core of everything he works on.
